How do I prepare bulk mail for Nonprofit Mailing?

We normally have a mailing company do this for us so we don’t know how to do it ourselves. We already have a nonprofit permit stamped on the outside. How do we sort, bundle, etc.?

I think you need a bulk mailing permit – you’ll have to go to postoffice. goto and see if they have any info there
You need to bundle the mail into groups by zip code. Our post office has us do it by the first three numbers only. So zip codes 12345, 12389, and 12355 would all go into one bundle. I assume it is the same for all post offices…
