Can I flag a bulk email as being legitimate?

Posted by admin under Spam Bulk Mail

Susie asked:

I had my bulk email set up as to delete immediately. I changed it to stay open 5 days. Wow, I cannot belive the amount of junk that comes through. I had two emails that were legitimate. When I had AOL, there was an option of marking a email as legitimate and then future emails from that sender would automatically go into my inbox. Does Yahoo offer something like that? I cannot seem to find an area that would allow that to happen

Yahoo does not offer this kind atleast for free users it has a facility called Flag as Followup. May be it might be offering for paid users, just cross check.

well if u want to set that email as a legitimate one, open that mail, there ull find a option called as NO SPAM,click on it,from now onwards ur mail will be legitimate and ull get that directly in ur inbox :)

You can tag an individual message which Yahoo has placed in the Bulk mail folder as Not Spam. Yahoo will then move the message to your regular Inbox.

However… I have done this with legitimate email messages before, and mail from the same user has been subsequently delivered to the Bulk mail folder anyhow.

Consider switching to Gmail if you use a free mail account as your main email address. I’ve had a lot less headaches with Gmail than I have with Yahoo mail.

Use the not spam button and put the address in the address book.
