Bulk email

I’ve had two emails sent without my knowledge from my yahoo account to all the contacts in my address book. Both emails where Spam, but seem unrelated.

Is there anyway to keep this from happening again without closing my account??

I received this email saying I have won an internet lottery for the sum of one million euro. I replied asking for varification details and a claims rep replied. They want alot of personal information (i.e. name, age, occupation, address…etc but did not, in this email ask for a specific bank account. They state that I should choose my mode of payment, the options being…telegraphic bank transfer or diplomatic courier. I am curious as to if anyone has received this or a simular email and if anyone knows if it is a scam or legit. Please let me know so that if it is a scam I can flag them and be done with it.

Sometimes there are over 164 in a couple of hours. I can’t stand it.

I had another QA account, got suspended by the trolls.so set this one up. now I get even more spam emails than I ever did with my yahoo email I have had for 2 1/2 yrs.is this happening to you also? or is it an isolated thing? please let me know so I know my next plan of attack. thank you.

On only one of my yahoo email accounts, the folder that used to be called bulk is now called spam. All of the bulk messages get sent to this spam folder. Any ideas?

I was awaiting for an urgent response email for a week and today (May 26, 2007), I checked my bulk folder and then immediately made it empty without taking a careful look. However, at one glance, I saw the response email (subjected with Re: Status of my paper submitted to IEEE ToMC) in the bulk folder, and when I clicked it, I noticed that the email has been erased from my account.
